GROUND ANCHORS

Ground anchors are used in basement retention systems to temporarily or permanently restrain piling systems. The ground anchors utilise steel strands tensioned to a design working load to restrain the basement walls whilst the basement is being excavated. The ground anchors are then de-stressed after the basement floors have been installed and self-restrain the external piled walls.
